'The Rise And Fall Of The Clash' DVD Announced -
'The Rise and Fall of the Clash', the acclaimed 2012 rock-umentary which first premiered at the CBGB Festival in New York, is making its way to DVD.
The film tells the complete story on the collapse of the band, who led the way of the 1977 UK punk phenomenon. The film was directed by Danny Garcia and co-produced by David Mingay (Rude Boy) and Robin Banks.
The DVD features previously unseen footage of the band plus interviews with the individual members as well as those who knew them well including industry types, journalists and friends.
When the film premiered in 2012, Danny Garcia told Rolling Stone (via Hennemusic):
"I've been a Clash fan since I was nine or 10 years old. I fell in love with them since 'Spanish Bombs. They were speaking in Spanish! And I felt like they were speaking to me. But why did they disband the way they did?"
'The Rise And Fall Of The Clash' will be released on DVD in North America on April 29; dates for other countries are to be announced.
Garcia has also published a book version of “The Rise And Fall Of The Clash” – it’s available via the Amazon link below.
