Stone Temple Pilots Unveil New Frontman ChesterBennington -

The Stone Temple Pilots took to the airwavesover the weekend delivering their debut performance withScott Weiland's replacement,Linkin Park's ChesterBennington.

The band made a surprise appearance at KROQ Los Angeles annual WeenieRoast to perform STP classics such as 'Sex Type Thing' and'Vasoline' as well as their new track 'Out ofTime.'

Following the departure of founding vocalist Weiland earlierthis year, STP members began looking for a new singer in order toperform the new material they've been working on.

"Chester has a one-of-a-kind voice that we've admired for along time," said Dean DeLeo.

"We know Linkin Park will always be his priority, but we thoughtit would be cool to try something together. We managed to find thetime to record a song and we're all really happy with theresult."

"I've loved STP since I was 13 years old and they've had ahuge influence on me," explained Bennington.

"When the opportunity came up to do something creative withthem, I jumped at the chance. The guys in Linkin Park have beenincredibly supportive of me undertaking this project while I'vecontinued to work on new music with LP."
