STOLEN! The Fender Custom Strat used by Dweezil Zappa on the Experience Hendrix tour earlier this year has been taken.

Ironically Dweezil has had to notify the theft via theguitarvaults.com , a site he helped launch in 2012 in an attempt to reduce the trade in stolen instruments.

The theft took place sometime during his current tour with his band Zappa Plays Zappa. Unfortunately the precise location of the incident is unknown because all of his tour guitars, plus this custom, were packaged together for the trip to Montana and on to Kalamazoo and it was only later in the tour that the theft was detected.

It should be an easy one to spot because of the unique features Fender included- the ‘reverse’ headstock included as a ‘nod’ to Jimi and a cutaway to the lower horn of the gold scratchplate.
