Reissues of Rainbow Albums Set for Release in November-

Rainbow will release reissues of 'OnStage' and 'Long Live Rock NRoll' this November through Universal. Both albumswill be released on the 5th of November (UK).

'Long Live Rock 'n' Roll' is the thirdstudio album by the Ritchie Blackmore led outfit and wasfirst released in '77. It features tracks such as 'Lady of theLake' & 'Kill the King' and was the lastRainbow record to feature the late RonnieJames Dio on vocals.

'On Stage' is a live album which wasrecorded over several German and Japanese dates in late 1976 duringthe band's 'Rising' world tour. Producer Martin Birchspliced many of the tracks together from different dates.

The recording features the customary introduction to a Rainbowshow - the classic quote from The Wizard Of Oz:

"Toto: I have a feeling we're not in Kansas anymore. We mustbe over the rainbow!" with the last word repeated as an echo. Thenthe actual band plays a musical phrase from the song 'SomewhereOver The Rainbow' before breaking into 'Kill The King'"
