A rare 7" original single of AC/DC's “Can I Sit Next To You, Girl” has been auctioned on eBay for almost $4,500.
The track was first released in 1974 and features original frontman Dave Evans. The debut single also features Malcolm and Angus Young on guitars, older brother George Young (The Easybeats) on bass and ex-Masters Apprentices member Colin Burgess on drums.
According to ACDCCollector the single is featured on a New Zealand-only Polydor label pressing, b/w "Rockin' In The Parlour."
The 7” sold for precisely $4,471 USD on the online auction site.
The song was re-wrote and re-recorded with Bon Scott and featured on the 1975 Australia released only album, “T.N.T.”; it also appeared on the international version of the “High Voltage” album in 1976.
