Nine Inch Nails' Bassist Eric Avery Leaves Band-

Nine Inch Nails bassist EricAvery has quit the Trent Reznor ledindustrial rockers.

Avery, who was also a founding member of Jane's Addiction,revealed via his Facebook page thereason for quitting prior to their upcoming tour, saying:

 "I really want to focus on my musical life here in L.A.,on film work in particular."

However Avery admits that he's not sure if he's made the rightdecision:

"It's been a tough call - and I don't know if it's the rightone. But I really want to focus on my musical life here in LosAngeles, on film work in particular. As the tour dates kept growingI just got overwhelmed."

Avery had also just returned from a year out on the road withnewly reunited Garbage, and says he wasn't happywith the concept of spending 18 months on the road with his formerNIN cohorts.

He adds:

"Fortunately my friend Trent understands all this, andappreciated my pulling the plug now instead of deep into 2013 and14."

Nine Inch Nails' next show will take place onJuly 26th at the FujiRock Festival in Naeba, Japan.
