Introducing Hooker Customs Guitar Company For Left Handed Players

Hooker Customs is a custom guitar company specializing in left handed electric guitars & basses.

This small UK based company was set up Paul Hale, a blues guitarist and singer who has been playing for around 20years. "I have been playing for many years and during this time I got very frustrated with only having a small range of electric guitars available in the shops. When I finally did find the guitars that I liked I then found they were only available in limited colours, and to add to my woe I had to pay 15% extra.

After a couple of years of trawling through guitar mags and reviews finding "right handed only" I finally thought to myself…..I know!! I'll make one!

I realised that the guitars I made looked good and played well and hey, why shouldn't I share the love? So I decided to start my own custom guitar company Hooker Customs.

But I am not alone in my mission to conquer the lefty market, there's two of us.

Sandeep Panesar has joined this quest! With his experience in wood crafting and bass manufacturing he is an essential part of the company....plus he's got something I haven't…a real patience for sanding.

Hooker Customs supply left handed guitars that look different, Play well and are very competitive prices. They provide instruments that left handed players dream of.

In fact you can own a Hooker Custom for around £200.

The range starts from our Eco Hooker models. These guitars are made from carefully sourced parts. We assemble unique combinations that make great sounding, unique looking guitars for a great price, you can be playing your guitar and saving the environment at the same time!

Hookers also make custom guitars from scratch, using the best looking woods and the best sounding tonewoods from our own small suppliers based in the UK.

Model: Sexy Hooker

This is a truly different guitar, candy red with matt black trimmings. 

It's wiring enables you to get an out of phase Tele style sounds as well as a real fat sound on neck middle and bridge pickups. Looks and plays great.

Model: Classy Hooker 

This is our latest model, It's a beautiful guitar. This guitar has maple neck with rosewood fret board and classy sunbust finish.  Featuring a mid humbucker, the Classy Hooker has a three way switch that produces a really bassy tone with nice mid range. There's plenty of attack at the bridge pickup too. Beautifully classic through and through.

Model: Classic Hooker

This is a nice standard classic model, we've been real tame with it. 

Stock pickups and a real lightweight basswood body. This was our most recent refurb. It's a Yamaha Pacifica that came to us in a bit of a state. Our refurbs (pimp my axe) Start at around £100.

Sounds and plays great.
