Fender Custom Shop announces the release of the Michael LandauSignature 1963 Relic Stratocaster guitar. As part of the FenderCustom Shop Artist Collection, this Signature Model joins the likesof other great artist models from Jeff Beck, Dick Dale, EricClapton and more.

Based on Landau's 1963 Stratocaster, this Signature Model'sfeatures include a hand-selected lightweight alder body, special"custom oval C" neck profile, custom hand-wound pickups and wiring,and a worn Fiesta Red over 3-Color Sunburst nitrocellulose lacquerfinish. Other highlights include a round-laminated dark rosewoodfingerboard with a 7.25" radius and 6105 frets, period-correctsmall headstock, five-way pickup switching and custom vintage-styletremolo bridge.

Michael Landau's has been privileged to play on hundreds ofrecordings dating back to the early 1980s. Playing with artistslike Joni Mitchell, Seal, Michael Jackson, James Taylor, B.B. King,Pink Floyd and Miles Davis, he was able to create quite a name forhimself. Michael has also fronted several bands, including theRaging Honkies, Burning Water and, more recently, Renegade Creationwith Robben Ford. With his own group, he continues to raise the barin electric jazz, instrumental and rock guitar.
