Dream Theater Announce 12th Studio Album -

Dream Theater have revealed that their 12thstudio album will be released on September 24th and will beself-titled.

Guitarist John Petrucci, who last yearwas ranked 17th greatest guitarist of all time by Guitar World in 2012, saidof the new record:

"I see every new album as an opportunity to start over - toeither improve upon a direction that's been evolving over time, orto completely break new ground."

"This is the first self-titled album of our career, andthere's nothing I can think of that makes a statement of musicaland creative identity stronger than that. We've fully explored allthe elements that make us unique, from the epic and intense to theatmospheric and cinematic."

'Dream Theater' will be available in awide range of distinctive versions, including standard and specialedition CDs, 180 Gram Vinyl Double LP and a Limited Edition BoxSet.
