Morse, metal greats and some NAMM 2018 madness!
Welcome to issue 55. Wow, it’s been a busy last few weeks at the Gi studios following the 2018 NAMM show. The Guitar Interactive team were once again on site in Anaheim, California to bring you our highlights from this year's NAMM show, and you can find the whole rundown in our NAMM feature, including booth walk-throughs, the latest releases and announcements. Plus, interviews with the biggest music stars including; Steve Lukather, Glenn Hughes, Eric Johnson, Frank Gambale, Paul Reed Smith and many more.
Our cover artist this month is none other than, guitar legend Steve Morse. With Deep Purple possibly embarking on their final sell-out world tour, Steve took some time out to discuss recording, touring gear and the future with our very own, Jamie Humphries. To accompany this issue's cover feature, we also have an incredible Steve Morse style Tech Session from Jamie inspired by the classic early 90’s Steve Morse Band.
Also in this issue, I had the pleasure of sitting down with Josh Rand and Christian Martucci from hard metal giants, Stone Sour about their current touring rig plus the band's plans for 2018 and beyond. Plus, Daniel Le Gresley catches up with South African singer-songwriter and guitarist, Dan Patlansky to speak about his brand new studio album, 'Perfection Kills'.
Of course, there’s more of the latest and greatest gear reviews from around the world of guitar, as well as our exclusive lessons from Tom Quayle, Sam Bell, Chris Buck, Giorgio Serci and The Collective School of Music in New York City that I hope you will love getting stuck into.
