Here's one for the diary.... You may remember Tom Quayle's review back in issue 14 of the brilliant YouRock YRG MIDI Guitar. To quote Tom, "If you're in the market for a guitar to MIDI controller, I can't think of a single reason why you wouldn't go for the YRG . It's much cheaper than any of the other offerings from other companies and does the job better."

Essentially the YouRock YRG is a MIDI Guitar Controller/Recorder with a touch-sensitive fingerboard. Here's what you can do with it:

Control music software such GarageBand, Cubase, Sonar, Reason, Pro Tools

USB interface compatible with PCs, Macs and iPads, etc ...

Combine live playing with backing tracks

Control MIDI keyboards

Record your own playing

Carry the You Rock Guitar in a standard backpack

Play along with your favourite music

The lovely folks over at YOUROCK are hosting a free webinar demonstrating the essential functions of the guitar and also delving deeper into it's advanced settings and parameter editing functions. For owners of a YRG, this webinar is a must to make sure you're getting the best out of your instrument.

For those who don't own one yet, YOUROCK will be giving away a special white YRG + a Presonus Studio One so there's no excuse not to virtually attend! Check the details below to find out more:
