Tony Iommi Pens Track for Eurovison SongContest -

Earlier this week it was rather unexpectedly revealed thatBlack Sabbath's Tony Iommi is theman behind the Armenia's Eurovision Song Contestentry.

The track, entitled 'Lonely Planet,' will be performed byDorians and was selected via a national vote on2nd March.

Until now the track and its 'mystery' composer had been kept underwraps, however this week Iommi has begun to discuss the project,telling the BBC:

"I've done a lot of things, but never that," Iommi tells theBBC. "The thing is, I've always thought, 'oh no, not theEurovision', and here I am in it now."

On his reaction after first being asked to pen the track, Iommisaid:

"I first said, 'oh God, I don't know' - it seemed reallystrange, me doing a Eurovision song, I don't usually do that," hesaid. "But I said, 'I've got a rock ballad, I'll send itover."

Tony Iommi and his Black Sabbathcohorts are currently putting the finishing touches to their newalbum '13,' which is scheduled forrelease in June.
