The Ultimate Custom Taylor Sweepstakes

In celebration of Taylor Guitars' 40th anniversary, one lucky fan will have his or her dream custom guitar built for free!

And it's not just the custom guitar that is up for grabs, the winner will also get one set of custom ebony-adorned in-ear monitors from Ultimate Ears.

It looks like Taylor's 40th Anniversary celebration is getting bigger and bigger as the year progresses. Just recently, the San Diego County Board of Supervisors met with the company to recognize the brand's contribution to their local economy, and it ended with the declaration of "Taylor Guitars Day" in the County of San Diego.

Supervisor Dianne Jacob was quoted saying:

"Taylor Guitars is a real gem – it’s a homegrown success story gone global. The company is not only good for our local economy, but it continues to operate on a high note worldwide. Congratulations and best wishes on the next 40 years."

The small shop that was founded in 1974 at Lemon Grove California, has certainly gone a long way, now crafting over 500 guitars per day in their factories California and Mexico factories.

According to the official statement:

"The company distributes to over 60 different countries and has over 800 dealers in the United States alone. In addition to the company’s factories, Taylor also owns and operates a distribution warehouse in the Netherlands, and an ebony mill, Crelicam, located in Cameroon. Currently, the company employs over 750 people with the majority of those positions located in El Cajon".

Now Taylor is giving their fans the chance to celebrate with them, with The Ultimate Custom Taylor Sweepstakes. The lucky winner will be given round trip airfare with free hotel accommodations and transportation to the brand's factory in El Cajon, California. There he or she will be given the chance to meet with the custom shop team, build a custom guitar to his preferred specs, and take that guitar home - all without spending a single dime!

On top of that, the grand prize winner will also be receiving one set of custom in-ear monitors from Ultimate Ears, and will also be able to tour UE's Irvine, CA facility. As if that were not enough, the winner will also get a merchandise pack from Taylor Guitars and Ultimate Ears. One runner up will also be drawn to receive one pair of UE 900 earphones and a prize pack from Taylor and UE.

Joining is easy, all you have to do is fill up a simple form at the guitar manufacturer's website and you will be in the running for the grand prize. Note that only residents of the US, Columbia and Canada (excluding Quebec) who are 18 years old and older are eligible to join.
