Rolling Stones Release Extended Version of B-Side "Bitch"

An extended version of Rolling Stone b-side "Bitch" has been released prior to the official reissue of 1971's "Sticky Fingers".

The latest version adds nearly two and a half minutes to the original and follows two more previously unheard tracks from the upcoming Sticky Fingers reissue, an acoustic take on “Wild Horses” and a shorter, jam-free run-through of “Can’t You Hear Me Knocking.”

According to Stereogum:

“The alternate version of ‘Bitch’ is a longer, looser, earlier take that, like the final version, was recorded at Stargroves, Mick Jagger’s country home in October 1970. This alternate take has the horns tying different lines and fills and it has not the ‘attack’ of the final version on Sticky Fingers.”

The alternate version of “Bitch” follows two other previously unheard tracks from the upcoming Sticky Fingers reissue, an acoustic take on “Wild Horses” and a shorter, jam-free run-through of “Can’t You Hear Me Knocking.”

The Sticky Fingers deluxe edition comes out on June 9th following the launch of the Stones latest North American tour, which starts on May 24 in San Diego and closes on July 15 in Quebec.
