Rolling Stones Highest Grossing Band of last 25 Years

The Rolling Stones, U2 and Bruce Springsteen top a new list compiled by Billboard of the top 25-selling live acts of the last 25 years.

The Stones sit at number one after grossing approximately $1,565,792,382 , followed by U2 who grossed $1,514,979,793 and in third place is 'The Boss' Brice Springsteen who has grossed $1,196,116,507 on the road.

However the UK veterans have amassed the most since 1990, performing more than 500 shows to over 20 million fans.

Jon Bon Jovi, who's band Bon Jovi is at No.5 on the list, said of the Stones (via Hennemusic):

Mick Jagger is always going to be the role model," Jon Bon Jovi told Billboard in a recent interview.
 
"Until [Jagger] hangs up the retirement number, I don't know where the end zone is. I just keep running the ball until Jagger says, 'Here's the goal line.'"

In related news this week The Rolling Stones launched a series of European dates as part of their 14 On Fire world tour.
