Ramrod's Guitarist Laid to Rest in 12ft Fender Strat'Shaped Coffin -

Late Ramdrod's guitarist John Graham was laid to rest yesterdayin a 12 foot guitar shaped coffin.

Craftsman spent months designing and building the coffin in theshape of his beloved Fender Stratocaster, which he received as agift when he was just 15.

The lifelong musician joined the Ramrod's in 1963, not to beconfused with the Detroit punk outfit of the same name, and wentonto tour with the Animals, Johnny Kidd and Gerry and thePacemakers.  The band then stopped touring in 1967 afterfounding member Phil Crowther died.

However, the band continued to play local gigs and Mr. Grahamcontinued to record with his wife, June performing vocals.
