This allows us to make exactly the same quality instrument using exactly the same Private Stock grade timbers more efficiently, accounting for the lower price tag. These are Private Stock instruments of the highest calibre showcasing the best of PRS, they are truly beautiful musical instruments, I should know as I play each and every one of them before they are approved for casing.” 

European Private Stock Models benefit from a high specification although there are some options such as a curly flame or quilt maple top, or the ‘Maple Package’ which adds maple binding and headstock veneer to match the top. There are an almost unlimited number of Private Stock color choices too. Each Private Stock Model is supplied with a PS number and the usual signed PS certificate detailing full specification.

Violin II

PRS Violin guitars are deeply rooted in Paul Reed Smith’s belief that the guitar is the violin of our time. Named after Paul’s mentor and a legend in the guitar industry, the Private Stock McCarty Singlecut is a direct reflection of Ted McCarty’s work in the 1950’s on solidbody guitars and everything he taught Paul decades later.

Custom 24

A model that needs little introduction, the Custom 24 is the quintessential PRS guitar. This iconic instrument was the first model that Paul Reed Smith brought to the public at PRS Guitars’ first Winter NAMM show in 1985 and has been a top seller ever since. The Private Stock Custom 24 is a beautiful take on an established classic.

Carlos Santana’s creative association with Paul Reed Smith goes back many years and has done much to shape the destiny of PRS Guitars. The Private Stock Santana #2 model takes the distinctive outline of the regular Santana signature and adds some beautiful touches.
