The Pixies are giving fans a free download of their CoachellaEP, which features tracks from their 2004 appearance.

The Pixie's set that year went down in history as one of themost celebrated performance's of the festivals history and was theband's first Festival show since the reformation earlier thatyear.

The tells fans: This week, finding ourselves between twoconsecutive weekends of Coachella for the first time ever, wethought it fitting to rifle through the Pixies vault in search ofan apt celebration.

So, we're very pleased to bring you a completely free downloadof 4 tracks from Pixies memorable '04 Coachella performance.

They completed a full tour last year, playing their 1989 albumDoolittle in full. No more shows have been announcedand although rumours of a new album by the quartet have beencircling for a good while now, the band have always said that theywould not release any new material unless in was up to the standardof their past releases
