North West Guitar Show Update

The North West Guitar Show is at Haydock Park Racecourse Exhibition Centre, Newton-le-Willows, Cheshire, WA12 0HQ on Sunday 18th May, 10am to 4.30pm. 

There are more than 100 exhibitors confirmed making this our biggest Show ever and the biggest event of its type in the UK. New, vintage and used guitars, amps, effects and accessories plus workshops, demos and live music spread over five halls in two grandstands.

Live music schedule:

11.00am     Neil Mellor - DWJ Pedals
11.30am     Raunchy Biscuits - Auden Guitars
12.15pm     Gav Coulson - Fret-King Guitars/ H & K Amps
13.15pm      Phil Harris and Band with Peter Green/Gary Moore and Paul Kossoff guitars
14.30pm      Roger's Floyd - Sensational Pink Floyd tribute 

At 2.00pm for a limited time, there will be an opportunity to take a photo  (with your own camera, phone etc)  of you standing  next to the 1959 Gibson Les Paul previously owned by Peter Green and Gary Moore in exchange for a £5 donation to charity. The proceeds will go to Alder Hey Children's Hospital.

In addition to the programme on the main stage there is lots more live music going on around the venue including demos by Blackstar Amps,  Zoom Effects, Knaggs Guitars (Nigel Pickering), Patrick Eggle Guitars (Steve Wright), Brunetti Amps, D'Addario Strings (Hayden Hewitt), Treadstone Guitars (Rob Stephenson) and Bose PA Systems (The Huers acoustic duo).

Plus, the Musicians' Union is sponsoring a series of guitar workshops throughout the day with Kathy Dyson. Bring your guitar and attend any one or all of the sessions. Admission to the workshops is free (after you have paid your admission to the guitar show) but space is limited, on a first-come first-served basis.
