(PRESS RELEASE): Washburn Guitars and UK distributor Sound Technology Ltd are proud to announce the new Washburn Heritage series featuring an initial 16 new models arriving in the UK this month. With four body shapes across the range, the Heritage 10 series guitars feature mahogany back and sides, the Heritage 20 series rosewood back and sides, the Heritage 30 series tamo ash back and sides and the Heritage 40 series flame maple back and sides.
The Heritage 10 Series encompasses 9 models and carries on the strong Washburn tradition of providing a truly superb instrument at a working musician price. They are available in dreadnought (D), folk (F) and grand auditorium (G) body styles. Most are available in a natural finish with select models available in black (B), tobacco burst (TB) and left handed variants (LH). All feature solid sitka spruce tops (solid western cedar on 11 models and solid mahogany on 12 models) for a superior tone that improves with age. All have mahogany back, sides and neck, a rosewood fingerboard and bridge, diecast tuners for quick, easy and accurate tuning, a Washburn tortoise shell pickguard and a custom rosette. Selected models are also available with cutaways for superb upper fret access and a Fishman 301T Tuner /Preamp for natural amplified tone.
The Heritage 20 Series guitars feature rosewood back and sides and Ebonite tuning buttons. All other specs remain the same as the 10 series. Two dreadnought models are available, the HD20S and the HD20SCE which includes a cutaway and Fishman 301T Tuner/Preamp. The Washburn HG26SCE is a grand auditorium model featuring a mother of pearl headstock inlay, maple binding and a Fishman 501T Tuner/Preamp.
The Heritage 30 Series feature tamo ash back and sides and gold tuners. All other specs remain the same. Two dreadnought models are available, the HD30S and the HD30SCE which includes a cutaway and a Fishman 301T Tuner/Preamp.
