Montreal-based Godin Guitars launch the MontrealPremiere -

Godin's new Montreal Premiere thin-line, semi-hollowbodied electric guitar, is constructed from some of the finesttonewoods available, reflecting Robert Godin's passion for wood,and the ability to produce some of the finest electric and acousticguitars on the planet.

Where a lot of companies buy wood that's 'available,' asCanada's biggest guitar producing company, Godin can literally handpick lumber from their own back yard.

Montreal Premiere: Construction

In keeping with Godin's reputation of innovative designs withelectric and acoustic guitars, Canadian wild cherry, is thetonewood choice for the Montreal Premiere's double bound bodyconstruction, with a 'breathe-through' carved spruce core.

This unique design is the Montreal Premiere's sonic heart andsoul, promoting free airflow through the centre block, which inturn, delivers an astounding resonance unlike any other guitar inits class.

With a six a side headstock, mahogany set neck and silky smooth,22 fret, dot inlaid rosewood fingerboard, this superb electricthin-line maintains Godins reputation for producing acoustic andelectric guitars with extremely comfortable neck profiles andsupreme playability.

Electrics and Hardware

A pair of Godin Custom Wound humbuckers, are ideally suited tovoice the Montreal Premiere's natural woody tone, excellentresonance and sustain, enhanced further by Graphtech's ResoMaxbridge system. Controls include 3-way toggle switch and singlevolume and tone.

Over two years in the making, with superior build, exotic tonewoods and the breathe-through core, the Montreal Premiere isideally suited for jazz, pop, blues/rock and all the crossovers inbetween.
