Megadeth to Donate Show Proceeds to Regional Food Bankof Oklahoma -

Megadeth are to donate proceeds from their July 16 Gigantourdate at the OKC Zoo Amphitheatre in Oklahoma City to the RegionalFood Bank of Oklahoma.

"Many amazing bands have come forward to aid Oklahomanssince the May tornadoes came and tore apart their homes andlives," says Dave Mustaine. "Now it's time for Heavy Metalto give to this community!"

In addition to the Gigantour donation the thrash elders alongwith many other local celebrities will take part in an All-Starsoftball game on July 15th at the ASA Hall of Fame Complex, withproceeds once again going towards the Regional Food Bank ofOklahoma.  

Established in 1980, the Regional Food Bank is the largestprivate hunger-relief organization in the state of Oklahoma. InFiscal Year 2012, the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma distributed42.2 million pounds of food and product through a network of nearly1,000 partner agencies and schools throughout 53 central andwestern Oklahoma counties. The Regional Food Bank provides enoughfood to feed more than 90,000 people each week - nearly half ofwhich are children."
