This year LVPAC Guitar Fest LIVE! will host its first annualAcoustic Guitar Competition - an outstanding opportunity fortalented guitarists to take the stage, gain fans, and win greatprizes including valuable media and performance exposure. The grandprize winner will be selected from the six finalists invited toperform before a panel of expert judges and live audience. Thecompetition finals will take place Sunday afternoon, September 16,2012 at Blacksmith Square in downtown Livermore.

The grand prize winner of the Acoustic Guitar Competition willreceive:

-Voyage-Air Songwriter Series Guitar

-An interview with Rosalie and your song played on KFOG'sAcoustic Sunrise

-Article and music video posted on GuitarPlayer.com

-Recording session at Legendary Studio D Recording with awardwinning engineer/producer Joel Jaffe

-Three paid performance engagements at select Downtown Livermorebusinesses

-Paid spot on stage during the 2013 Livermore Wine CountryFestival

The Acoustic Guitar Competition is open to non-professionalguitarists ages 18 and over, as outlined in the application.Applications must be submitted no later than August 15, 2012 with a$25 entrance fee and YouTube video. Accepted applicants will beinvited to perform live at Blacksmith Square for public voting inadvance of the finals. Six finalists will be selected through acombination of online public voting and input from a panel of musicindustry professionals. Six finalists will be invited to performbefore our panel of expert judges including Guitar PlayerMagazine's Senior Editor Art Thompson, KFOG's Acoustic Sunrise hostRosalie Howarth, Studio D Recording's producer Joel Jaffe, andSanta Cruz Guitar endorser James Nash of the Waybacks.
