Kurt Cobain Was Working on Solo Album When he Died | Guitar Interactive Magazine

Former Hole guitarist Eric Erlandson has revealed that KurtCobain was working on a new album when he died.

The revelation has come to light as Erlandson continues with promoduties for his new book about his relationship with the Nirvanalegend, he has stated that Cobain was demoing new material prior tohis death in April 1994 in a recent interview with Fuse (viaSpinner).

[Kurt] was headed in a direction that was really cool," he said."It would have been his White Album.

"That's really what he was going towards, a solo album butworking with different people. I was really excited about some ofthe stuff he was working on. I got to see him play it in front ofme. That's why I was really sad [when he died]. I was like 'Oh man,not only are you cutting off a life, but a message to the world, amusical path is just left with... Bush and all this other stuff. Hewas cut short. Who knows where this music would have gone?"

Erlandson released his book, 'Letters To Kurt' earlier this monththrough Akashic Books.
