Judas Priest's veteran frontman, Rob Halford, has discussed the metal icons' approach to their new album in a new video.

"Redeemer of Souls" is the seventeenth studio album by the heavy metal band Judas Priest, which was released on 8 July 2014.

We’re very proud of the records and the songs that we’ve made and we really treasure everything that we’ve put together,” Halford explians (via Hennemusic),

“so it’s very important for us when we make a record like Redeemer Of Souls that it has the same caliber because this has to be a good record for us because there’s a lot of self-conviction. When we hear it back before it’s gone out to the public, we ourselves have to be convinced that we’ve given as much as we can at this moment and that it’s as good as it can get…and then we let it out to the world.

“Redeemer Of Souls” is the first Judas Priest album since 2008's "Nostradamus" and the first to feature new guitarist Richie Faulkner, who replaced founding guitarist K.K. Downing in 2011. The album is also the first Judas Priest record to chart in the US Top 10.
