Joe Strummer's post-Clash days performing at the helm ofThe Mescaleros were short-lived when you comparewith his Clash-tenure, however the reggae fusion outfit stillmanaged to release three albums between 1999 up until the punkicons death in 2002.
Following the break-up of The Clash in 1985,Strummer began work with The Mescaleros in the midto late 90s. They released their first full album 'RockArt and the X-Ray Style' in 1999 and followed up with'Global a Go-Go' in 2001. A third album,'Streetcore' was released posthumouslyafter Strummer's death in 2002.
In what would have been Strummer's 60th birthday year TheMescaleros have re-released the final two albums packagedwith bonus material such as live b-side recordings and previouslyunheard numbers.
