James Hetfield Honoured by Little Kids Rock Charity -

James Hetfield has been honoured by kids charity Little Kids Rock during the during the organization's 2013 ‘Rockin’ The Bay Benefit’ event which was held at the headquarters of Facebook in Menlo Park, California

The Metallica kingpin received the 'Livin' The Dream Award,' named in honour of Josef Desimone, head chef at Facebook, who supported Little Kids Rock and passed away this past summer in a motorcycle accident.

"We’re presenting James with this special award as a way to not only recognize his support of Little Kids Rock over the years, but also his role as an inspirational presence in a band that has revolutionized and defined a music genre," said David Wish, Little Kids Rock founder and Executive Director.

Hetfield joined the kids for a jam on Metallica’s 1991 classic, ‘Enter Sandman.’
