Institute's End of Year Showcase at Renowned London Venue 'Proud Camden.'

The Institute of Contemporary Music Performance has announce their End of Year Showcase event which will this year be held at the renowned Proud Galleries in Camden on Tuesday 5th June.

Proud Camden is located in the 200-year-old Grade II Listed Horse Hospital in the Stables Market, Camden. Adorned by images of rock royalty throughout, the venue has been systematically designed and painstakingly restored. Proud is known for its commitment to programming the very best live music - Jessie J, Peter Doherty, Dizzee Rascal, The Kooks, Stereophonics, and Johnny Borrell have all played intimate sets there. And recent performers at the venue have included Ed Sheeran, Dirty Pretty Things, Lethal Bizzle, The Enemy, Lykke Li, Vivian Girls, Black Lips, Manchester Orchestra and I Blame Coco.

The Institute will be taking over Proud's 'New Bands on the Block' for the day and evening with over 25 acts playing in the Main Room and the Terrace, from 1:00pm-11:30pm, followed by student DJs until 1:00am. The live performances will feature students from all years, but focus on graduating BMus and Foundation Degree students. The event promises to deliver high quality original music with full band performances and acoustic chill out sets covering a wide range of styles from rock and metal, to indie and pop, to jazz, funk and neo soul.

Being located in London, at the heart of the global music community, the Institute provides students with unrivalled opportunities to perform at a wide range of gigs and showcases. Not only will this event give the students a chance to celebrate all their hard work throughout the year, but it will also be an opportunity for them to showcase their work to the public and industry professionals invited by the Institute.

This event is open to the public and entry is free. For more information contact Proud Galleries directly or the Institute on:
