Ian Gillen Announced for Rock Meets Classic 2015 Tour

Organizers of the annual Rock Meets Classic European tour have announced that Ian Gillan has been added to the 2015 lineup.

The Deep Purple frontman first featured on the 2011 and 2012 editions of the tour which sees iconic artists of the '70s and '80s backed by The Mat Sinner Band and the Bohemian Orchestra Prague.

"It is a pleasure to announce that the legendary icon Ian Gillan will join the Rock Meets Classic tour 2015 with a wonderful Deep Purple BestOf set,” announced organizers.

Deep Purple performed the first-ever combination of rock music and a complete orchestra and there's a strong partnership between Ian and the RMC project. We are delighted - welcome back Ian!"

Gillan is the latest act to be announced as part of this year's tour. He joins Mr. Big's Eric Martin, Asia's John Wetton and Status Quo's Rick Parfitt on the lineup.
