Foo Fighters to Headline London's Invictus Games Closing Ceremony

The Foo Fighters will soon return to the UK to perform at the closing concert for the Invictus Games.

Taking place on September 14th, the event will go ahead at the London's Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park  and will see the Foos close the event, which also features Kaiser Chiefs, Ellie Goulding, Ryan Adams, The Vamps, Rizzle Kicks, James Blunt, Diversity and Military Wives Choirs.

The outdoor event will take place on the south lawn of Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park from 5pm to 10pm.

A statement from the band (via NME) reads:

"Invictus Games, look out... THE FOO FIGHTERS ARE COMING. What a perfect way to finally return to the UK for the first time in years... been waaaay too long! Thanks for having us, it is truly an honor to come play for these incredible men and women. Can't wait to do our thing."

For those not aware then The Invictus Games are a international sporting event for wounded, injured and sick servicemen and women.

Tickets for the Invictus Games closing concert go on sale at 9am on Friday morning (August 1) priced
