Elvis Presley Crypt to go 'Under the Hammer' -

Elvis Presley die-hards (excuse the pun) will have the chance to bid on the Memphis Crypt that briefly housed 'the king' following his death on August 16, 1977, reports UltimateClassicRock

The rather morbid auction will take place at Julien's Auctions in Beverly Hills as part of a two-day sale of rock memorabilia called 'Music Icons' and will take place on June 23 - 24.

Bidding on the crypt will begin at $100,000 and the winning bidder will also be granted the services of the chapel, the opening and closing of the vault and crypt for burial, and a memorial inscription.

"I just consider that if you're an ultimate fan of Elvis Presley, it's an opportunity," Darren Julien, the auction house president, told the New York Times. "It's definitely a conversation piece. Only one person can say, 'Hey, I'm going to be buried where Elvis
