Dave Grohl Joins Q.O.T.S.A for Upcoming Album -
Queens Of The Stone Age's forthcoming album will onceagain feature the drumming prowess of Dave Grohl,according the band's frontman JoshHomme.
The Foo Fighters head will be filling in forJoey Castillo, who has been a member of thestoner-rock mavericks since replacing Grohl on the European leg ofthe 'Songs of the Deaf' tour back in 2002.
Speaking to Radio 1's Zane Lowe, Homme said:
"[Grohl] and I have this wonderful musical relationship whichwe don't have with other people. It's a very cool and comfortableposition."
Q.O.T.S.A took to the social media universe to post a pictureon their Facebook fan-page page revealingGrohl's name on a mixing desk next to Hommes.
Speaking to NME,Jesse Huges, who fronts Hommes second bandEagles of Death Metal, said the new Queensmaterial he has heard is "really cool."
Hughes said:
"The shit I've heard from the new Queens album is so badass.It's really cool. It's the kinda shit that makes John Holmes[legendary porn star] have a bigger dick and he's dead, so that'spretty rad."
Queens of the Stone Age are currentlyfinishing up work on what will be their sixth studioalbum.
In related news the band yesterday (Nov.5) announced that theywill be playing Download Festival forthe first time next summer. The hard rock & metal Festivalwill take place from June 14-16 2013 at Donington Park.
