Cordoba Releases New Series of Exotic Ukuleles

With the continued success of Cordoba’s ukuleles, Cordoba has launched their newest line featuring exotic woods.

The 23 Series ukuleles are available in soprano, concert, tenor, tenor cutaway-electric, and baritone sizes. Each features a solid ovangkol top paired with ovangkol back and sides, rosewood bridge and fingerboard, mahogany neck, and ovangkol headstock veneer. Ovangkol ranges from rich orange to a darker brown in color, and is commonly streaked with gray, purple, or black. It’s tonally similar to rosewood, with a slightly fuller mid-range. The figure of ovangkol provides a gorgeous backdrop for the abalone rosette and Cordoba logo.

Founded in 1997, Cordoba seeks to guide the evolution of acoustic guitars and ukuleles, blending traditional craftsmanship of the early master luthiers with modern developments. Inspired by the organic beauty and honesty of acoustic instruments, every Cordoba is lightweight, responsive, and a direct descendant of the Spanish tradition. Cordoba continues to challenge the definition of the acoustic guitar without sacrificing the authenticity of its heritage.
