Cordoba Guitars Opens Artisan Workshop in SouthernCalifornia -

Cordoba Guitars announces the officialopening of their California Workshop.

Located inside their sea-side Oxnard facility, Cordoba'sCalifornia Workshop is a 2500 square foot manufacturing space builtto accommodate Cordoba's growing product line and offer instrumentsthat are 100% made in the USA. Oxnard's mild, stable climate makesit a favorable location for guitar building, and also offers closeproximity to Cordoba's Santa Monica headquarters. Staffed by asmall team of experienced builders and overseen by luthier KennyHill, each guitar is made entirely by hand using premiummaterials.

Cordoba is currently offering five models with various options,including a revamped version of the Loriente Sofia, and the brandnew Master Series. "Making guitars in California has always been adream for us and we're excited to finally see it happen. We're now making some of the best guitars in our company'shistory," says President Jonathan Thomas. In their first year,Cordoba intends to produce approximately 150 guitars, continuingtheir commitment to providing concert level instruments ataffordable price points.

Founded in 1997, Cordoba seeks to guide the evolution of thenylon string guitar, blending traditional craftsmanship of theearly master luthiers with modern developments. Inspired by theorganic beauty and honesty of acoustic instruments, every Cordobais lightweight, responsive, and a direct descendant of the Spanishtradition. Cordoba continues to challenge the definition of theacoustic guitar without sacrificing the authenticity of itsheritage.
