Beatles Turntable Sells for Over $1,500 at eBay Auction-

A novelty Beatles record player, which doesn't even playrecords, from 1964 has just sold on eBay for $1580,00.

The vintage turntable, which was listed for $9.99, record platterstill spins at the appropriate speed however when records areplayed the only audio that can be heard is a low buzz. The sellerof the turntable believes that the problem is with theneedle.

The four-speed NEMS player is considered byBeatles collectors as highly sought after as therewere only 5,000 manufactured at the time, so to find one in suchgood condition is a rarity.

Similar the size of to a small travel suitcase, the 17.5 x 10 x 6casing was originally designed with metal latches and a carryhandle. It was packaged in a very colourful 20 x 11 x 7 box butonly a few are known to exist and the seller makes no mention. Thefab four photo is featured on the inside lid and appears to be ingood condition.
