Abbey Road Opens Doors to Public -

The historic Abbey Road Studios are to once again open theirdoors to the public.

The recording studio in North London will be hosting talks inthe iconic Studio Two, which has played host to recording sessionsby The Beatles, Kate Bush,Pink Floyd and Oasis.

Earlier this year (2012) saw a similar event held at the studio aspart of the station's 80th anniversary celebrations.

The next batch of talks will take place in March 2013 and willonce again be hosted by Brian Kehew and KevinRyan, who were behind the book acclaimed 'Recording theBeatles.'

For those who attend there will be a score sync demonstration andvintage 4-track mixing console and tape machine demonstration,attendees will also be shown how the iconic echo chamberfunctions.

Rare photographs from the EMI and Abbey Road Studios archiveswill be on show, as will a host of vintage recording equipment usedby many famous artists.
