Germany's Rock am Ring music festival has once again been cursed by bad weather of almost biblical proportions forcing organisers to cancel the third and final day of the sell out event.
On Saturday performances were suspended during ongoing thunderstorms, forcing many of the 92,000 fans a to run for shelter in cars and tents.
The event was then cancelled after local authorities revoked the licence in the early hours of Sunday morning.
At least eight people were seriously injured by the lightning strike early on Saturday morning.
The Rock am Ring festival , which is one of the most popular rock events in Europe, suffered similar weather conditions last year which saw 33 festival goers taken to hospital.
