‘The Who in Hyde Park’ to be Screened in Movie Theatres Across the US

The summer concert The Who played at London's Hyde Park this year is set to be screened at cinemas across the United States.

In a press release, John Rubey of Fathom Events said:

This October, moviegoers will get a special opportunity to experience a historic, show-stopping performance from one of the most iconic bands in music history, Along with our partners at Arts Alliance, we are thrilled to bring The Who’s 50-year celebration to fans across the U.S.”

The concert took place on June 26th in front of an estimated 75,000 people at the iconic outdoor venue. The 19-track set includes tracks that span the Mod legend's entire back catalogue, from their debut single, “I Can’t Explain,” through to their last, “Eminence Front.” As a bonus, those attending will be treated to interviews from Roger Daltrey, Pete Townshend, Iggy Pop, Robert Plant and more.

“It’s a good gig,” Townshend said.

You draw from all over the country, but a London crowd is always a good crowd. It’s a Royal Park so thank you, your majesty; you can’t play it without her permission.”
