Black Sabbath Receive Lifetime Achievementat Ivor Novello Award

The legendary Black Sabbath received a Lifetime Achievement accolade at the 2015 Ivor Novello Awards.

Now in its 60th year, the annual event saw drummer Bill Ward reunited with Tony Iommi and Geezer Butler at the Grosvenor House event to receive the award. And when asked of the whereabouts of frontman Ozzy, Iommi replied:

"I don't know, I think he's got a hospital appointment or something."

On reuniting with his former bandmates, drummer Bill Ward offered fans some hope he may be part of the Sabbath Farwell trek by admitting that he felt  "very uncomfortable" knowing that the band had been on tour without him before adding, "I hope that can change".

Among a variety of artists honoured at the London event were Manic Street Preachers, Bob Geldof and Ed Sheeran.
