Influential folk musician John Renbourn has passed away aged 70.
Renbourn is possibly best known for his collaboration with Bert Jansch for his work with folk-jazz group Pentangle, John was also a very successful solo artist in his own right.
The musician was found at his home in Hawick in the Scottish Borders on Thursday after a suspected heart attack.
Dave Smith, his manager, said Renbourn had been "a huge character".
He continued: "He was always playing and teaching. That is what he loved doing and he never stopped."
Renbourn was scheduled to perform at the Ferry in Glasgow on Wednesday night. However, colleagues became concerned when he failed to turn up and called police. He was found at his home on Thursday morning, where it's believed he died from a heart attack.
