Vintage Guitars Sponsor the British Country Music Awards 2014

Sunday 23rd November will see the annual British Country Music Awards held at British Airways Concorde Suite at London’s Heathrow Airport. Hosted by BBC Essex' Steve Charelle, the night promises a great evening of talent from across the UK, as well as special guests from across the pond such as the legendary US Grammy Award winning singer/songwriter Steve Wariner.

John Hornby Skewes & Co Ltd, the worldwide trade distributors of Vintage® guitars, are pleased to be sponsoring this year's awards with a free Vintage Icon Series V52MRBS guitar - itself already a big favourite with a host of Nashville guitar professionals such as Jimmy Capps, Hoot Hester, Kerry Marx and Grand Ole Opry Musical Director Steve Gibson, who said of his V52 ICON "I am very impressed at the consistency of construction, setup and sound of the V52…..a fantastic discovery!”

Another V52 devotee is rising young UK country star Luke Thomas - who along with his partner Mel Greggain are nominated for two awards at this years show - Best Duo - Luke & Mel and Best Song 'Don't Cry Because it's Over'

"My V52 stands up there with the best of them, and I'd recommend it to anybody" says Luke. Mel added "It’s an honour to be in the running for two awards this year, especially after winning the Horizon Act in 2013. I'm particularly proud that 'Don't Cry' has been nominated for song of the year."
