Motorhead Forced to 'Pull Out' of Remaining Festival Dates -
Motorhead have been forced to cancel the final 8 dates of their summer European festival tour following orders from frontman Lemmy's doctor.
The bassist recently suffered a haematoma (where blood collects outside of a blood vessel) which subsequently forced Motorhead to cancel a trio of earlier dates, this followed the news that Lemmy had fitted with a defibrillator due to ongoing heart problems.
"Things are improving with Lemmy, but the doctors in Berlin
are recommending that he rests for another couple of weeks,"
drummer Mikkey Dee told Swedish newspaper GT.se.
"We can't keep canceling show after show, it's too costly. Therefore we unfortunately have to cancel the entire tour."
Dee also added that an official announcement regarding Lemmy's health will be made.
"We're really sorry, but we're not cancelling because of a cold and this is something we've put a lot of thought into."
Motorhead are scheduled to release their 21st studio album 'Aftershock' later this year.
