The Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert which took place in 1992 is to be released as a three-disc DVD set this coming September.

The tribute show featured surviving Queen members Brian May, Roger Taylor and John Deacon perform a set brimming with Queen classics in memory of thee legendry frontman.

Billed as "one of the biggest events in rock history," the concert raised global awareness of AIDS issues and brought in funds for the Mercury Phoenix Trust charity. Profits from the release will go to AIDS charities around the world via the trust.

In what was billed as "one of the biggest events in rock history," the tribute concert was held on Easter Monday, 20 April 1992 at London's Wembley Stadium, for an audience of 72,000. The concert raised global awareness of AIDS issues and raised funds for the Mercury Phoenix Trust charity.

The Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert is released on September 2 via Eagle Rock. Profits from the release will go to AIDS charities around the world via the trust.
