Godin Guitars Launch Multiac ACS-AS Rosewood -
From the world renowned Godin Multiac Series, the nylon strung ACS SA Rosewood electro-acoustic, effortlessly blends classical guitar concepts with elements of solid body design, within playability and sound. With individual transducer saddles powered by a customized preamp system from the RMCTM Pickup Company, the ACS SA Rosewood can be used at high volumes without feedback.
This system not only superbly and accurately amplifies the natural tonewood timbers via a standard 1/4in out jack, it also produces a hexaphonic output through an onboard 13-pin connector, enabling direct access to RolandTM GR-Series or Axon guitar synthesizers. Controls for the Godin custom electrics include Volume, Treble Middle and Bass for the guitar and separate Synth Volume, Program and 700-1200 Hz mid selector, to shape the overall tone.
This design not only offers an electro-acoustic guitar that is virtually free of feedback to compete in a full band situation, it also accurately amplifies the natural tonewood timbers and produces a hexaphonic output through a 13-pin connector enabling direct access to RolandTM GR-Series and Axon guitar synthesizers.
With its characteristic open headstock, the ACS SA Rosewood offers superb playability with a mahogany neck and silky smooth 22 fret Richlite fingerboard, with offset dot position markers.
Godin's own classic Ergocut neck profile includes the bevelling of the fingerboard edges and frets, which, along with a 406mm fingerboard radius, 47.5mm nut width and 647.5mm scale length, offers supreme comfort.
Only the finest tonewoods are used throughout construction of the ACS SA Rosewood, these include a silver leaf maple for the single cutaway, chambered body and a gorgeous a cedar top, with highly figured rosewood leaftop. Whilst the body is chambered, response from the top is more typical of a solid body design than that of a traditional acoustic guitar.
The ACS SA Rosewood redefines electro-acoustic guitar playing, eliminating most of the problems that players experience when using conventional acoustic guitars live, and now looking exquisite with a stunning rosewood leaftop.
