Cordoba Guitars Opens Artisan Workshop in Southern California

Cordoba Guitars Opens Artisan Workshop in Southern California -

Cordoba Guitars announces the official opening of their California Workshop.

Located inside their sea-side Oxnard facility, Cordoba's California Workshop is a 2500 square foot manufacturing space built to accommodate Cordoba's growing product line and offer instruments that are 100% made in the USA. Oxnard's mild, stable climate makes it a favorable location for guitar building, and also offers close proximity to Cordoba's Santa Monica headquarters. Staffed by a small team of experienced builders and overseen by luthier Kenny Hill, each guitar is made entirely by hand using premium materials.

Cordoba is currently offering five models with various options, including a revamped version of the Loriente Sofia, and the brand new Master Series. "Making guitars in California has always been a dream for us and we're excited to finally see it happen.  We're now making some of the best guitars in our company's history," says President Jonathan Thomas. In their first year, Cordoba intends to produce approximately 150 guitars, continuing their commitment to providing concert level instruments at affordable price points.

Founded in 1997, Cordoba seeks to guide the evolution of the nylon string guitar, blending traditional craftsmanship of the early master luthiers with modern developments. Inspired by the organic beauty and honesty of acoustic instruments, every Cordoba is lightweight, responsive, and a direct descendant of the Spanish tradition. Cordoba continues to challenge the definition of the acoustic guitar without sacrificing the authenticity of its heritage.
