Fret-King Signature Artist Gregg Wright inducted into the Louisiana Music Hall Of Fame -

Blues guitar supremo Gregg Wright has been inducted into the globally-revered Louisiana Music Hall Of Fame.

The former Michael Jackson guitarist, and current Fret-King signature artist, who is now thought of as the 'King Of The Rockin' Blues', joins an incredible list of musicians - including the likes of Elvis Presley, Fats Domino, Louis Armstrong, James Burton, Buddy Guy, Lead Belly, Tim McGraw and Jerry Lee Lewis  - in receiving the honour.

Gregg said:

"I am humbled and honoured to inducted into the Louisiana Music Hall of Fame! So much of America's music and culture started right here in Louisiana... jazz, blues, rock 'n' roll, zydeco, and so much more. I urge everyone to support the Louisiana Music Hall of Fame. A sincere thanks to [Hall of Fame founder] Mike Shepherd, the Hall and the great music fans of Louisiana!"

Gregg's career began in the '70s, when he began to set the US's southern circuit alight with his incendiary show, but it was after his move to Los Angeles in 1980 that things really picked up. Opening shows for blues legends likeAlbert King,Freddie Kingand many others, Gregg really learned the blues game from the masters of the genre. He then went on to become a top session guitarist, winning awards, and doing albums and tours with many of pop music's elite - includingMichael Jackson,Mick Fleetwood, and many more.

These days, Gregg tours the world with his own band, and he's recently worked together with guitar guruTrev Wilkinsonand Fret-King to create the Fret-King Black Label Corona 'GWR'artist model. Built to Gregg's favoured specs, the Corona GWR recreates the vibe of the axe he played while on the Michael Jackson Victory tour in the '80s. With a UK retail price of £699, the guitar features Wilkinson hardware and pickups - including the unique Fret-King Vari-coil control, which allows the player to wind the stacked P90 bridge pickup to absolutely authentic bridge single coil - a maple neck and fingerboard, and an eye-catching white and red 'rising sun' finish.

Gregg says:

"The GWR is without a doubt the very best guitar I've owned or played. The sound, look and feel of it is absolutely killer! What a tone! These days, when I go in to do a show or session, I feel as if I'm carrying a secret weapon..."

Gregg is also constantly on tour, and visits the UK in May and June this year - check out his website for all dates and more information.
