Free Nationwide Music Lessons : One Week To Go -

The countdown is on with only one week to go to National Learn To Play Day, the day that offers FREE music instrument lessons to ANYONE who wants to take part across the UK.

A host of musicians and celebrities are supporting the event including Al Murray giving free drum lessons at Chappell of Bond Street, London, Nick Mason appearing at Footes Music Store, London and Harry Hill offering free ukulele lessons at JG Windows, Gateshead Metrocentre. 

Other highlights include former Yes/King Crimson drummer Bill Bruford at Andertons in Guildford, flamboyant rock musicianArthur Brown visiting ABC Music in Market Harborough, up and coming singer Sertari at Nevada Music in Portsmouth and at Absolute Music, Bournemouth the Major will helping the local Beaver Scouts with their music badges!

The UK's inaugural National Learn to Play Day in 2012 provided over 10,000 music lessons on guitar, piano, drums and a range of orchestral instruments and 2013 is set to exceed this figure with over seventy five shops nationwide taking part.

Teachers, demonstrators, and celebrities will all be helping making this a truly memorable day, plus there will be prizes, goody bags, discounts and technical support from musical instrument companies as varied as Yamaha, Peavey, Blackstar, Orange Amplification, Sound Technology and JHS. 

This is the ideal chance to take your first lesson or make the move back into music and learn a skill that is timeless. Jools Holland, Patron of the organising charity Music for All, commented "I am delighted to help Music for All in their quest to inspire more people to participate in music making"
