Robert Plant to Feature on Primal Scream's New Album

Robert Plant to Feature on Primal Scream's New Album -

Scottish rockers Primal Scream have confirmed that Led Zeppelin frontman Robert Plant has recorded tracks for their new album.

The band's frontman Bobby Gillespie recently spoke with Mojo about the new Primal Scream album in which he confirmed the album was being produced by David Homes and will feature The Pop Group's Mark Stewart.

Comparing the new album to their previous effort 'XTRMNTR', Gillespie said recording was going well:

"People in bands saying: 'My hell making an album...' Who wants to listen to some cunt moaning about how sad they are? I think they're just fucking pussies... they're weak. I've no time for weak people."

In the past Plant played harmonica on 2002 track 'The Lord Is My Shotgun' which featured on the band's 'Evil Heat' album. However, Plant has revealed that he has recorded vocals for the new project, due for release sometime in 2013.

Also speaking to Mojo, Plant said (via NME):

"I sang a bit on the Primals stuff because I think their references on looking back on the glorious past and the way they bring them into the contemporary world."
