Motorhead Discuss Covers Album -
Motorhead's bassist and frontman, Lemmy
Kilmister has revealed in a recent interview with Classic
Rock Revisited that the band's next album could be a covers
According to Lemmy the band, who recently released 'The World Is Ours Vol.2 - Anyplace Crazy as Anywhere Else,' have discussed the possibilities of a covers record but have never made a 'concrete decision' as to whether to go ahead.
The musician tells Classic Rock Revisited (via LoudWire):
"We did discuss it, but we haven't come to a concrete decision on it. It would be fun to do. The three of us are very different when it comes to music, so it would be a very diverse album. We'd make them all into Motorhead songs, anyway. We've done covers before."
He (Lemmy) goes on to reveal that despite all the talk of the band's next project, they still don't have any material ready:
"[We don't have any new music] yet. We will just go into the studio a month before we do the next album and just write."
The metal icon recently stated that Motorhead were eyeing a January studio return.
