Black Sabbath New Album Update -
Nearly a year after announcing their comeback, Black Sabbath are now working hard on their first album in over 30 years.
The band are recording at the renowned Shangri La Studios in Malibu
with producer-colossus Rick Rubin. All
three original members Ozzy
Osbourne, Tony Iommi and
Geezer Butler are involved however
drummer Bill Ward is still not involved.
According to Metal Injection the band are currently recording vocals and already have 15 songs written. Although bassist, Butler states only 12 of them will make the final cut with the additional three likely to serve as bonus tracks for various special editions.
Guitarist Tony Iommi competed all 15 guitar sections whilst the band were in England earlier this year. Ozzy and Geezer are working to complete the tracks in five song increments, with the first five being worked on currently. Ozzy is tracking vocals, with bassist Geezer writing all the lyrics. One song title has been confirmed as 'God Is Dead.'
The new Sabbath album is expected next year.
